I’ve been considering writing a blog for quite some time now, but never really gave it a serious thought. Part of the reason is I don’t wish to write for personal purposes i.e. sharing interesting things happening in life and so on. I wish to use this blog to promote bigger purposes. To be specific, there are two:

• To RECORD my ideas, thoughts, and opinions about issues that really matter. These issues will range from politics and economy to religion and philosophy. Time and again, I will focus on matters that specifically affect India but will also occasionally voice opinions on world affairs.
• To SHARE with you what I learn along the way. So far I have been using Facebook to share articles and updates about issues I dearly care about. But I’ve realized it is not enough. First, FB is social networking site (SNS) and, by its very definition, it is ill-suited for long posts. Blogs make up for this “drawback” of SNSs. In fact, I’ll use this blog as a complement (not substitute) to posts on Facebook!

WHAT IS ‘ARYATVA’? And why use it as a blog’s title?

As an aside, given the fact that I barely created this blog things are in a very crude form. Also, I have intentionally kept the template simple as I want readers to focus more on content rather than get distracted by complex designs. I do intend to add more gadgets and tools as I write regularly!
